As a DMV wedding photographer, I could feel the history woven into every corner of The Milton Inn. Photographing a wedding in a place that holds so many memories added a unique emotional weight to each image. The morning light in the garden was soft and golden, offering the perfect setting for quiet, romantic portraits.
Hunter’s grandparents often visited The Milton Inn, even before its renovation into a wedding venue. In fact, it was the site of their family portraits for generations. For this reason, choosing the venue felt deeply personal for the couple.

The couple hosted an elegant and relaxed morning celebration, embracing the soft, warm light that filtered through the gardens. Maya wore a classic gown from @betsyrobinsonbridal, her look finished with an effortlessly romantic touch by @nofilterglam.
The florals by @twistleandtwigfloral added a fresh, spring palette to the day—subtle pastels, trailing greenery, and thoughtful buds tied the intimate setting together. The dining was delicious on top of excellent service from Tony Foreman + Co.

Film, Super 8, and Digital—A Dreamy Mix of Storytelling Formats
Their full gallery includes a mix of digital, 35mm film, and Super 8 video—each format chosen intentionally to highlight different moments and moods. From soft-focus portraits under the blooming trees to grainy motion clips of guests toasting with champagne at their candlelit reception, this hybrid approach helped us capture the emotion and nostalgia of the day.
Their story deserved more than one way to be told. It deserved texture. Feeling. Memory.

After the sun began to fade, guests gathered indoors for an intimate candlelit dinner. The reception was simple but elegant: long tables, crisp linens, warm wood tones, and the soft flicker of taper candles. Glasses clinked. Laughter echoed off the walls. There were no grand entrances or choreographed moments—just genuine connection.
That’s what made it beautiful.
It didn’t feel like a production. It felt like home.
And to capture all of it—especially in such a beloved family space—was a true privilege. This is the kind of wedding that reminds me why I love being a DMV wedding photographer.

The Milton Inn is a rare find in the Maryland wedding scene. It offers a balance of elegance, intimacy, and deeply rooted history. Whether you’re planning a spring morning ceremony or a cozy evening reception, the venue offers a backdrop that’s effortlessly romantic and genuinely meaningful.
If you’re searching for a DMV wedding photographer who blends fine art imagery with storytelling through film and Super 8, I’d love to hear more about your vision.
